YELTSIN TO CHAT LIVE ON INTERNET.

Russian President Boris Yeltsin will make his Internet debut tomorrow (May 12) when he will answer questions put by Internet users. The forty-minute session is due to begin at 0930 GMT (05:30 ET). It is being organized to mark the G7/G8 summit by the company MSNBC, which will preselect the questions Yeltsin will answer and, where necessary, translate them into Russian.

Questions should be sent to: boris@msnbc.com. The text of Yeltsin’s replies will be available in Russian at the Kremlin site, https://www.gov.ru and in English at https://www.msnbc.com/chat/default.asp. Yeltsin won’t type the replies himself. The organizers say this is because he is lacking two fingers on his left hand, the result of an accident with a hand grenade which he found in the woods when a boy.
