William D. Rollnick

William D. Rollnick is the former chairman of Mattel, Inc., board director, member of their Executive Committee and chairman of their Audit Committee. He is also the former chairman of Genstar Rental Electronics, and has worked as an executive in the aerospace industry and founded and served on the board of directors of a number of computer and computer-peripheral firms.

He was a board member of the Metropolitan Opera Association, New York and the National Trust for the Humanities, Washington, D.C.; the former Vice Chairman of the White House Endowment Fund; former board and executive committee member of the American Ballet Theatre in New York and of the San Francisco Opera. Mr. Rollnick was a trustee of the University of San Francisco and a trustee of Pitzer College. He is co-director of the William D. Rollnick and Nancy Ellison Rollnick Foundation, which was established for the support of the arts.

As a supporter of the arts and humanities, William Rollnick created with his wife Nancy Ellison Rollnick the program America’s Voices, which took place in Berlin, Germany, June through October, 2000; and he was the Special Envoy and Personal Representative of the President of the United States in connection with the Expo 2000 World’s Fair, held in Germany.

William Rollnick has been a Broadway Producer/Investor for a number of years. His Off-Broadway credit is Adult Entertainment and his Broadway credits include Fortune’s Fool, Sly Fox, Spamalot, Woman in White, Color Purple, Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me, Inherit the Wind, Coram Boy, Sea Farer, the London Productions of Scrooge and Dr. Dolittle and Journey’s End which won a Tony for Best Revival in 2007.
